Lack of Creativity
Lately i have noticed a massive lack of creativity in my life, i no longer can sit and draw things from the top of my head, nor can i sit still long enough to actually create something within photoshop either. It is rather sad, i have also stopped playing sports within the last 5 months or so something of which i thought i would never do. the motivation has been completely zapped out of me. Im not sure if its because of UNI work (it shouldn’t be as i have been recording bands and mixing songs something of which is quite creative in itself.) or if its because i am no longer very physically active. Either way i do not like it, i long for the days when it was normal for me to run 14km at 6:00 in the morning before school and train for 3 hours after school as well. i miss being fit and being able to run a lot more than 1km before feeling like i am going to die. I also miss Tech Drawing, its an odd one to miss but i studied it for four years during high school, the first two years i absolutely loved but when it came to year 11 and 12 i became to hate it… a lot… but now i miss it even more than ever. I digress, all of this is really having an impact on my creativity.
I am also struggling with new music lately too, i feel i need to be listening to more as i am getting bored of my whole entire music collection which is over 19,000 tracks.Strangely enough i have found one thing i am quite into and that is Acoustics, room acoustics and what makes a room sound good… pretty much everyone i talk to at uni that has either done this unit or is doing it with me hate it and find it really hard where as i really like it and find it quite interesting. I like it that much i volunteered to bring in some acoustic measurements of my music room at home so we can analyse it as a whole class. I would never do something like this but for some reason i am.
Anyway my creativity and motivation are down quite low and i wish i could magically fill them both up
